Tina Wilson is entering her 18th year as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Crowder College. The 2023-24 Roughriders had one student-athlete named to the All-Region 16 2nd team, six named NJCAA Academic All-Americans and the team was recognized as an NJCAA Academic Team with a 3.05 GPA. While at Crowder, Wilson has coached multiple All-Region players, forty-five Academic All-Americans, three All-Americans, four teams have been honored as an NJCAA All-Academic team, and she has been the Region 16 Coach of the Year three times.
As a player, Wilson (formerly Robbins), a former Kodak Honorable Mention All-American basketball player at Missouri State University, brings in the best possible credentials. She played on four conference championship Lady Bear teams from 1991-1994 and went 104-23 as a player. She led her team to a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 1993 and a Final Four appearance in 1992. During the 1992 Final Four playoff run, she was named the NCAA Midwest Regional MVP. In her senior season, she was named to the Kodak All-American team, Missouri Valley Conference Tournament MVP, and Academic All-District VII.
Wilson graduated from MSU in 1995 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physical Education. She received her Masters of Science degree in Physical Education from Emporia State University in 2005.
Wilson began her coaching career in 1995 after being named the Head Girl's Basketball Coach at her alma mater Joplin High School in Joplin, MO. In 1999, she moved on to Glendale High School in Springfield, MO and served as the Head Girl's Basketball Coach and the department head for Physical Education and Health. Wilson spent two years as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas prior to her arrival at Crowder College in 2007.
Wilson has been inducted into the Joplin Area Sports Hall of Fame (2001) and the MSU Athletic Hall of Fame (2002). In 2007, Wilson was named to the All-MVC Centennial Team. Her MSU Lady Bears Final Four (1992) team was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.
Tina is married to James Wilson and they reside in Neosho, MO
